Aldo Tura is one of the most important Italian designer. In 1939 he founded his own furnishing laboratory in Lombardy, near Milan.
His mix of Art Deco and Art Nouveau styles with Minimalist design has exceeded the limits of traditional craftsmanship. Following the Art Deco movement, centered on straight lines and angles, Tura's drawings now contained flowing lines and free shapes.

The Brooklyn Museum in New York City exhibits some of Tura's works, which was originally part of the traveling exhibition Italy at Work: Her Renaissance in Design Today 1950-1953.
